History
PIDIGI was founded in 1953 in Verona and since the beginning it has been recognized as a reliable company and in the vanguard for the products offered and the technologies used in the initial reference market: the footwear and leather goods industry. The company develops in the following decades in relation to the growing demands of the national and international markets; abreast of the founder, Aldo De Gara comes the second generation, his son Giorgio and his daugher Daniela. Over the years Pidigi specialized becoming an international leader. It creates its own sales network in Italy and abroad, it establishes depots in the most strategic areas of the market to respond quickly and efficiently to the demands of distant markets. At present Pidigi claims production units in Italy and abroad, including the company Konitex d.o.o. (located in Slovenia) for the production of cellulosic materials for insoles and leatherboard for footwear.
Over the years, thanks to the experience gained and the constant commitment to technological research, the markets, the products offered and the sectors served have expanded, including highly specialized sectors such as the technical sportswear and the protection and safety sectors. Today the range of products dealt by Pidigi includes a complete offer of technologies, materials, accessories and components able to meet the most specific requests of the various markets. The logistics center created in 1999 - the present headquarters of the company - is located on the North / South - East / West lines in a strategic area with connections to the main communication routes that are extremely easy and fast. The complex occupies an area of 40,000 sqm, 15,000 of which are covered, with a fully computerized stock management.
The strength points of the company are the constant research and technological innovation, the development of specific products for specific customer requests and above all the consultancy service for the customers, which more and more is looking for propositional partners able to provide a 360° assistance.
